Polyurethane Innovation Awards seek innovative polyurethane technology candidates – TMPDA – Tetramethylpropylenediamine

The Center for the Polyurethane Industry (CPI), a division of the American Chemical Society (ACC), is now accepting nominations for the highly anticipated annual Polyurethane Innovation Awards. This annual industry-wide competition recognizes the most innovative technologies and breakthroughs in the polyurethane industry. Applicants should submit their registration before June 17th.

“The discovery of polyurethane chemistry is one of the most important events of the past 60 years,” said CPI Senior Director Lee Salamone. “This incredibly versatile substance is an integral part of countless applications – from shoe soles to home insulation to protective coatings for cars. The Innovation Award recognizes those in the polyurethane industry who are helping polyurethane products achieve their goals. Outstanding achievements for people to achieve a better life.”

The winner of this prestigious award will be announced at the 2017 Polyurethane Technology Conference in Marriott, New Orleans, August 2-4.

Last year, Shepherd Chemical Company won an Innovation Award for its BiCATs™ 8840/8842 polyurethane formulation of waterborne stable bismuth catalysts. Shepherd’s innovation demonstrates how a new additive can address changing market dynamics and developments while improving product performance and environmental properties. This award-winning technology symbolizes the innovative capabilities of polyurethane.

To participate in the winning election, companies or individuals must submit their applications before 5:00 pm Eastern Time on June 17th. Candidate technologies submitted must not be commercialized for more than 15 months before June 17, 2017. Candidates may include finished products, precursors, training or education programs, processes or processing equipment. Candidate content about polyurethane products or polyurethane production must meet the definition of a polyurethane chemical, which is the reaction product of an isocyanate and a polyol.

() is deeply involved in the segmented industry of polyurethane raw materials – amine catalysts; it develops and manufactures various types of amine catalysts; main products: A-33|33LV| CS90|C225 |GSY9727|SMP|Z-131| Solid amineetc., suitable for sponge, molding, high resilience, self-skinning, PU toys and various hard foam and semi-rigid foam and other end products.
