In fact, silicone oil usually refers to linear polysiloxane products that remain liquid at room temperature. Generally divided into two categories: methyl silicone oil and modified silicone oil. The most commonly used silicone oil – methyl silicone oil, also known as ordinary silicone oil, all its organic groups are methyl groups. Methyl silicone oil has good chemical stability, insulation and good hydrophobic properties. The popular explanation is: a polymer whose main chain structure is composed of siloxane Si-O-Si bonds. Customarily called silicone or polysilyl ether, it can be a linear, cyclic or cross-linked polymer.
