This is a liquid O/W emulsifier that can be used to replace solid emulsifiers in formulations, giving the emulsion a more “liquid feel”. Not only was an improved feel obtained by adding this emulsifier, but it can be seen from the microscopic image of the emulsion that Formulation 7 has the smallest emulsion particles and a very narrow particle size distribution. Johann Wiechers, an outstanding pioneer in the field of emulsion aesthetics, pointed out the importance of emulsifier selection for emulsion aesthetics.
