Scalp pH
The PH value of a normal scalp is between 4.5 and 6.5, which is weakly acidic; the PH value of an oily scalp can reach 3~4.5, which is acidic; of course, there are also hairs that are prone to dryness and frizz, which are alkaline, that is, dry scalp. The pH value is between 8~9;
Understand your hair type and choose the corresponding shampoo. If your hair is prone to oiliness, use a weakly alkaline shampoo, otherwise use a weakly acidic shampoo.
Oily hair
Of all hair types, oily hair is probably the most troublesome. If you don’t wash your hair for two days, you will be completely unlookable. Oily hair is actually mainly caused by the strong secretion of oil by sebaceous glands, and the oil slowly penetrates into the scalp.
Some friends have oily hair and mistakenly choose nourishing shampoo. If things go on like this, the pores at the hair roots will easily become blocked, and the hair will become increasingly oily. In severe cases, hair loss will occur.
Recommended use: Oil-controlling, silicone-free shampoo; this type of shampoo is highly alkaline and can neutralize the overly acidic environment of the scalp.
Dry hair
Hair with dry hair gets tangled easily, and is especially prone to static electricity in winter. If you don’t take care of it after washing, it may cause hair breakage. This type of hair is caused by insufficient secretion of sebaceous glands, resulting in a lack of oil on the scalp. Coupled with frequent perming and dyeing and the use of low-quality hair dryers, the hair cuticle circles are damaged.
Friends with dry hair should never choose weakly alkaline shampoos. This will cause an acid-base imbalance in the scalp, leading to dandruff and making the hair drier.
Don’t think that silicone oil does us no harm at all. In fact, people with dry hair are best to choose mild shampoo containing silicone oil. With the moisturizing and protection of silicone oil, our hair will be smoother and shiny.
