What is the difference between organic and inorganic color pastes?
With the widespread application of water-based coatings, especially latex and inorganic coatings, as the most important additive, color paste has also been receiving attention.
Coatings are divided into organic coatings and inorganic coatings, and there are also differences in the color pastes used for these two types of coatings. True inorganic coatings use inorganic color pastes as color additives, while fake inorganic and organic coatings use organic color pastes.
The main performance of color paste depends on the pigments used. According to chemical composition, pigments are usually divided into organic pigments and inorganic pigments. Inorganic pigments have good weather and light resistance, are easy to disperse, but the color light is dark and there are few varieties. Organic pigments have a complete range of types and high brightness, but poor weather resistance.

The performance of inorganic and organic pigments also directly affects the performance of coatings. Therefore, it is well-known that inorganic coatings have good weather resistance and can resist ultraviolet rays, while organic coatings have poor weather resistance and are prone to fading, cracking, peeling, and peeling.
We once conducted an experiment in which organic and inorganic color pastes were applied to two samples respectively. After waiting for complete drying, the samples were placed under the faucet and dripped for 24 hours to check their firmness. The experimental results showed that the organic pigment had a severe discoloration phenomenon; Inorganic pigments have no obvious color fading phenomenon.

It can be seen that inorganic color pastes are more suitable for the production and manufacturing of inorganic pigments, with better stability and fixation properties.
