Triethylenediamine polyurethane catalyst manufacturer

Triethylenediamine

Abbreviation:solidamine,TEDA, DABCO

Chemical name: 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane;
Alias: solid amine, triethylenediamine
English name:1,4-Diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane;triethylenediamine
English abbreviation: DABCO TEDA
Molecular formula:C6H12N2
Molecular weight:112.18
CASNumber:280-57-9

Physical and chemical properties

Triethylenediamine (TEDA) is normally colorless or white crystals, exposed to the air It is easy to absorb moisture, deliquesce and agglomerate, and is alkaline. It can absorb CO2 in the air and turn yellow. It is easily soluble in Acetone, benzene and ethanol. PureTEDAhas little toxicity. Inhalation of saturated triethylenediamine ( TEDA) steam can cause slight mucosal irritation, damage to the eyes, and irritate the skin and cause allergies.

Physical and chemical properties

Normally, triethylenediamine (TEDA) is colorless or white crystal. When exposed to the air, it is easy to absorb moisture and dehydrate and agglomerate. It is alkaline and can absorb CO2 from the air and turn yellow. Soluble in acetone, benzene and ethanol. Pure TEDA is very toxic, and inhaling saturated triethylenediamine (TEDA) vapors can cause mild mucosal irritation, damage to the eyes, and irritation to the skin that can lead to allergies.

Relative density (25) : about 1.14

Melting point of pure product: 158-159

Flash: 60

Boiling point: 174, easy to sublimate, slightly ammonia taste

Steam pressure: about 67Pa at 21, 533Pa at 50, 7.7kPa at 100

Application Introduction:

Triethylene diamine (TEDA) is a kind of double heterocyclic structure of the tertiary amine catalysts, mainly for the production of polyurethane foam gel catalyst, widely used in the soft, semi-hard, rigid polyurethane foam plastics, elastomers, and triethylene diamine (TEDA) can also be used for curing epoxy resin catalyst, ethylene polymerization catalyst, polymerization of acrylonitrile catalyst ethyl epoxy b alkane polymerization catalyst and initiator of pesticide and no hydrogen electroplating additive, etc.

The chemical structure of triethylenediamine (TEDA) is unique. It is a cage compound with three ethyl groups attached to two nitrogen atoms. Among tertiary amine catalysts, triethylenediamine (TEDA) is the most important , which can be widely used in various polyurethane foams. In the one-step foaming process, the importance of triethylenediamine (TEDA) is particularly significant. On the one hand, it has high activity and small dosage; On the other hand, it has a strong catalytic effect on both gel reaction and foaming reaction, especially the catalytic effect of polyurethane and hydroxyl is stronger.
