On November 26, Dow Chemical Company announced that its new world-class rigid polyurethane foam polyol plant in Rayong, Thailand, has officially started production. The new installation will increase the company’s ability to provide high-quality insulation materials and reliable, energy-saving solutions, from which customers and society will benefit.

The new polyols plant strengthens Dow’s ability to integrate upstream plants in Thailand and further expands Dow Jones’ presence in the Asia-Pacific region. Recently, Dow opened new polyurethane system material plants in Lote Parshuram, India, and Zhangjiagang, China.
The new polyol plant has a designed annual production capacity of 79,000 tons and is located in the Asia Industrial Park (AIE) in Rayong Province. AIE has 6 sets of production equipment. The 515-hectare industrial park is operated and managed in compliance with state-of-the-art environmental, health and safety standards, utilizing cutting-edge technology to minimize its overall environmental footprint.
