How to choose a wax emulsion when preparing a release agent?

Release agent is a functional substance between the mold and the product. When manufacturing model products, the release agent can improve production efficiency and extend the service life of the mold. At the same time, there is no residue on the product during the demoulding process. Improve the yield rate of products, and water-based release agents have gradually become an industry development trend.

The wax emulsion is a The most important ingredient for the release effect of the mold release agent is mainly due to the adhesiveness of the polyurethane isocyanate fatty ester in the release agent. There is obvious adhesion on the mold during release, and when the wax emulsion is added to the release agent, it will It is transferred to the surface layer to contact the mold to prevent the product from being linked to the mold, thereby isolating it from the mold, making the product well formed and improving the yield rate.

So how to choose wax emulsion when preparing release agent?

1. Understand the product, temperature, etc. of the release agent. If the temperature is high, you can choose polyethylene wax emulsion, and if the temperature is medium or low, you can choose paraffin wax emulsion.

2. Compatibility test. In the release agent formula, the wax emulsion must be well compatible with the entire formula to achieve the release performance. If not, the wax emulsion will show demulsification, delamination, etc., which will affect the performance of the release agent.

3. Stability of wax emulsion products. The stability of wax emulsion products cannot be achieved, and it is easy to stratify, flocculate, etc. When the release agent is sprayed on the mold surface, it will have a grainy feel, seriously affecting the performance of the product.
