HC Chemical Network News: SILIKOPHEN® AC 950 from Evonik is a high-temperature-resistant, high-solid silicone resin that does not contain harmful air pollutants (HAPS). It is a new product specially designed to protect industrial equipment. SILIKOPHEN® AC950 does not release toxic substances during the curing process, so it can be applied in enclosed spaces. Compared with traditional baking silicone resins, the possibility of smoke formation and volatile organic compound (VOC) content are greatly reduced, which can meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly coating systems.
SILIKOPHEN® AC 950 can be cured at room temperature using a catalyst, which offers many additional advantages. Application shows that before baking and curing, the product already has early resistance to aromatic and aliphatic solvents, and has good impact resistance and anti-adhesive properties.
