1. The fading of eva sponge products is related to the chemical resistance of colorants (acid and alkali resistance, oxidation and reduction resistance).
2. Oxidation resistance Some organic pigments fade gradually due to macromolecular degradation or other changes after oxidation. This process involves high-temperature oxidation during processing and oxidation in the presence of strong oxidants (such as chromate in chrome yellow). When the lake, azo pigment and chrome yellow are mixed, the red color will gradually fade.
3. The thermal stability of heat resistant pigment refers to the degree of thermal weight loss, discoloration and fading of eva sponge pigment at processing temperature. The inorganic pigment is composed of metal oxides and salts, with good thermal stability and high heat resistance. The pigments of organic compounds will undergo changes in molecular structure and a small amount of decomposition at a certain temperature.
4. Lightfastness The lightfastness of the colorant directly affects the fading of the product.
For outdoor eva sponge products exposed to strong light, the sun protection grade of the colorants used is an important indicator. The sun protection grade is poor, and EVA sponge products will fade quickly in use. The light resistance grade of weather resistant products shall not be lower than Grade VI.
