Characteristics and uses of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate_Industrial additives

Ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, chemical agent, also known as monoammonium phosphate, is a white crystal with the molecular formula NH4H2PO4. It will decompose into ammonium metaphosphate (NH4PO3) when heated. It can be made by reacting ammonia and phosphoric acid. It is mainly used Used as fertilizer and fire retardant for wood, paper, and fabrics. It is also used in pharmaceuticals and ruminant feed additives.

Product use

[Use] Used as phosphate fertilizer and fire retardant for wood, paper, and fabrics (such as match stems and candle wick ember extinguisher), and also used in pharmaceuticals, etc. Also used as a feed additive for ruminants.

[Preparation or source] It is prepared from the acid and alkali reaction of phosphoric acid and ammonia.

[Others] Stable in air. When the temperature is higher than the melting point, it decomposes and loses ammonia and water, forming ammonium metaphosphate and phosphoric acid and mixtures. There is a small amount of decomposition at 100°C. It is most suitable to apply ammonium phosphate as fertilizer during the growth period of crops. Ammonium phosphate is acidic in the soil and may have adverse effects if it crystallizes too much with the seeds. In acidic soil, it is better than calcium phosphate and ammonium sulfate. In alkaline soil, it is better than calcium phosphate and ammonium sulfate. It is also superior to other fertilizers; do not mix it with alkaline fertilizers to avoid reducing fertilizer efficiency. If lime is used in acidic soil in the South, monoammonium phosphate should be applied after a few days. Packaging, storage and transportation Woven bags are lined with plastic film and sewn and sealed. Pay attention to sun protection, moisture-proof, waterproof, and anti-breakage bags to avoid losses.
