Mica is a powder with a flaky structure. Therefore, when light hits its surface, specular reflection occurs instead of diffuse reflection like PMMA mentioned earlier. After applying eyeshadow, the mica spreads over the skin’s surface. After being illuminated at different angles, part of the mica undergoes specular reflection, giving it a blingbling feel. If we look at large mica flakes, it’s more straightforward. They are like sequins on a girl’s clothes, shining brightly.
