The most awesome formula I have ever seen is a transparent sunscreen lotion.
The formulator adds a large amount of glycerin to the water phase of the emulsion to make the refractive index of the water phase the same as that of oil, making the emulsion transparent. However, the large amount of glycerin makes the formula feel sticky on the skin, which is extremely bad. The formulator adds silicone elastomers to the water phase, instantly turning the formula into a velvety soft skin feel.
