typical deodorants currently use up to 80% ethanol or propylene glycol, or a combination of both. their components have many shortcomings. ethanol has a drying effect on the skin, but can cause varying degrees of irritation. propylene glycol can also cause irritation to the skin. irritation or allergy, especially when the concentration in the formula exceeds 10%, while liquid silicone is basically non-toxic and does not cause stinging on injured and abraded skin. therefore, deodorants made of silicone oil and cyclic siloxanes can overcome the above characteristics, while improving the lubricity of the preparation, making the deodorant extra soft and controlling the production of apocrine secretions in the human body, thus the purpose of deodorization is achieved. dimethicone polyol copolymers improve the compatibility of many common deodorant raw materials with other ingredients.
