Application range of polyurethane catalyst foaming

Polyurethane catalystFoaming application range:

Polyurethane Catalyst

1.Soft Block foam

Soft block polyether polyol-based foam is a typical tertiary amine catalyzed reaction product used with an organotin catalyst. Glue catalysts can be dilutions of pure compounds such as triethylenediamine and bis(dimethylaminoethyl) ether, or blends optimized for performance. Typical tin catalysts used for soft block foaming are pure or dilute stannous octoate. Diluted products, including amines and tin, are designed to address issues such as raw material handling, metering accuracy and pumping viscosity limitations. High-performance blends used on specialized foaming equipment can improve processing, provide a wide range of formulations, and provide small variations in the physical properties of the foam.

2. Soft mold foam

Soft mold foam requires the same precise foaming process as soft bulk foam. Foam/gel balance. In demoulding, flow, stability and curing are further requirements. Triethylene diphenylene and bis(dimethylaminoethyl) ether mixed with a small amount of dibutyltin dilaurate are the most commonly used catalyst systems in flexible mold foaming systems. Typical acid-protected limb-type delayed catalysts are often used to provide the curing foam with sufficient fluidity to pass through complex-shaped molds.

3. Rigid foam

Rigid foam has a wide range of uses (including appliances. Laminated and spray foam, cast-in-place, packaging foam, etc.) and chemical composition (polyurethane and polyisocyanurate).

Polyurethane rigid foam is made of dimethylcyclohexylamine. It is catalyzed by dimethylethanolamine, triethylenediamine, pentamethyldiethylenetriamine and pentamethyldipropylenetriamine. These catalysts can be used alone or in admixture.

Polyisocyanurate rigid foam is often made from a mixture of trimerization catalysts, such as potassium octoate, potassium acetate or tris(dimethylamine). Potassium-based) phenol is a ternary amine catalyst as the catalyst.
